We would like to invite you to begin a very special journey … the Journey of Confirmation.
Confirmation is the time in the life of the Church when we invite young people to explore the Christian Faith and prayerfully come to a decision to consciously embrace it as their own. The Confirmation journey can mean different things for different people. It can be:
- - An introduction to Jesus and the Church
- - Building and experiencing Christian community
- - A chance to learn more about your faith
- - Growing in relationship with God by practicing healthy spiritual habits
- - A chance to understand how you can serve God.
- - An opportunity to begin or renew a faith in Jesus Christ.
On your Journey, there will be people to journey alongside of you such as; your family, Middle School Coordinator – Ms. Christy Little and Pastor Kyung-hee Sa, a circle of mentors, and other leaders of the church. All of us together form a faith community. In faith community we will explore and question, learn and study, and encourage and love. We will all be enriched and strengthened as we seek God together. We will have workshops with fellowship lunches, field trips that share our heritage, and mentoring circles that give us opportunity for deeper relationships with each other and God as well as a retreat to celebrate and worship together. It is important for you to take time to pray about committing to the Journey of Confirmation.
Our theme for the Journey is “Be A Revolution” and we will share more with you when we gather. Parents as well as Confirmands are encouraged to wear the shirts and/or hoodies to events.
