Dinners for Eight is a great way to meet and get to know people at KIUMC. What better way to meet people than with food, fun, and fellowship?
How does it work?
Small groups are formed from the total list of Dinners for Eight participants. Each small group consists of approximately 8 people. Each group gets together about once a month for dinner at a group member’s home, rotating to a new home each month. Usually the host home prepares the main dish and the other group members bring a side dish or desert. Some groups choose to have picnics or go out to dinner. It’s up to each small group to decide what they want to do. There are no rules other than to have a fun in fellowship with others.
Who can participate?
Anyone can participate, including singles, couples, and families with children.
When does it start?
Groups will be formed in early November. The Dinners for Eight Session will start in mid November and will continue through May. A typical group of 8 people would dine together 4 or more times, during those 7 months. A Dinners for Eight picnic, with all of the groups, will be held in June.
