Crafts
and Treasure Sale
The Men’s Ministry is
planning a Crafts and Treasure Sale … and we need everyone’s
help. Do you have treasures around your house? Do you create
unique gifts? Do you know any artists? Does your wife make
crafts on the side? Do you have nice items that “may” find a
use “someday” … that could find a nice home
today?
We are in the early
stages of organizing a Crafts and Treasure Sale, to be held on
Saturday, November
17th. Please think about items that are in
your house that you “don’t love”, or unique crafts that may
make a great Christmas present for someone this year. All
proceeds will be given back to KIUMC to support the operating budget
shortfall.
Items that would be
appropriate to sell or donate:
-
Handmade Crafts or Art
-
New
items or items in good condition that would make a great gift for
someone
-
Previously purchased art or crafts
-
Items that could be sold on ebay for some
value if not sold at the Treasure Sale
-
Unwanted (working) furniture,
electronics, appliances, decorative items, musical instruments,
antiques, sports/outdoor equipment.
-
Really … anything of
value
Start collecting today,
your worldly treasures that you are ready to donate. If you know
anyone that would like to create crafts to support this mission,
please reach out to them. Even building a single step-stool would
help support our church.
More details are to
follow, and we definitely need volunteers to help with the event.
For questions or to show your support, please contact Chris Petit at
410-643-3316 or Michael Phillips at
202-643-8336.

in-depth look at “The Sermon on the Mount”. Come tomorrow. You are
not behind.
Help
with the 5th Quarter - October 5

The Fellowship of
Christian Athletes would like to invite you all to this years 5th

you are not aware of the events, they have been sponsoring these at
KIHS following each of their home football games for the past two
years. They have had up to 500 or more students attend each of these
events. This is an awesome opportunity to interact with the students
and provide them with a fun and positive experience on those Friday
nights.
The dates for the games
are:
September 7, 9-11pm
September 21, 9-11pm
October 5, 9-11pm
October 18, 9-11pm note-
Thursday
October 26, 9-11pm
Plan
a Gathering
Have an idea for a Men’s
Gathering? Or maybe you don’t have any ideas, but would be
happy to help organize something. Please let me know. You can
contact me at phillips96@verizon.net or
410-643-8336.
Gatherings can be fun
and games (bowling, cookouts or ping-pong championships) or service
related (volunteer, community or work related) or worship
related. Please consider which kind of gathering you may
want to help organize this year. Thanks for your prayers and
support.

Fellowship
with Tools
Last weekend’s
Fellowship with Tools project successfully installed a playset for
the McLaughlin kids in Patrick’s back yard. Kari fed us all so well,
we may come back next week and cut her grass for her. Patrick
has sent his appreciation to all the guys who helped
out.
We are looking for our
next project, so if you have a task that you are ready to have
complete, let’s git-er-dun. Please contact Bill Cranford at
410-827-8872.
FWT is a program that
allows men to support each other by teaming together to take on
projects at each other’s home. It is not necessary to have
previously participated to suggest a project (but we would expect
you to participate in your OWN project). Previous projects
have included a deck, a move, exterior siding and
others.
