New Pastor of Caring Ministries

On Sunday, February 17th, members of the Staff Parish Relations Committee had the privilege of announcing that Rev. Kyung-hee Sa will serve as our next Pastor of Caring Ministries.

Rev. Sa is presently serving as pastor of Wayne Community Church, a United Methodist congregation in Wayne, Maine, where she is in her sixth year of service. Prior to being appointed to her present church, Rev. Sa was a student at Drew Theological Seminary where she graduated summa cum laude in May 2002.

Rev. Sa was married to Jung-moon Kim in 1985 and they have two sons. Paul Tae-hoon Kim is 20, a junior at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and is now studying at King’s College in London for a one year specialized pre-med course. David Hyun-woo Kim is 17 and a senior in high school in Maine.

Rev. Sa has wonderful pastoral gifts, a compassionate heart, a discerning spirit, a warm smile, and encouraging laugh that will benefit her in her new role which will have visitation and pastoral care as its main focus.

The Staff Parish Relations Committee asks you to be in prayer for Rev. Sa and her family and their move to Maryland. Her husband, Jung-Moon, is presently employed in Korea, but will be seeking new employment in our region. Rev. Sa’s appointment will officially begin July 1, 2008.
